A.T.: Passing the Equinox
Drawing in progress |
Greeting to the winter.
I wonder what is a good artist, sometimes. Not that we have to be a good artist to be an artist, but it is kind of important to be an artist who is functioned, or functional as "artist", someone who makes numerous work through their life.
Although I do not want to give an opinion nor an answer which does not even exist, one thing that always has been in my mind as a believe is that we have to take care of ourself to stay healthy both mind and body. It is funny, how difficult it could be sometimes for emerging artists and even for established ones.
One of my painting professors in college told me many times something like, "to be a good painter, you must not forget to sleep and to eat. You may not have time for both, but if you have to reduce sleeping time you must eat, if you cannot buy food or have no time to cook or find time and energy to eat, you must sleep. If you skip these two together, you would not make any good painting."
This year was for me a very struggle, but it was also very beautiful.
For all love for creation and the given ability to create, we must stay fit and tough, so we can live a life with a sensitive heart, even if to others, it may look like an insane life.
It is fun to think about something like a good artist, something that does not exist.
These days, I am very into thinking about equinox. Why does it sound so attractive?
Happy Holidays.
