THE ECHO’S DECAY

A solo exhibition by Jake Scharbach
Oct. 14 – Nov. 19, 2016

It is always fascinating to discover a new gallery in a quiet street whether if it was old or new. Brilliant Champions Gallery has been there for about a year. Their 10 foot front door is the signature of the space, every opening there are a crowd of people inside and outside the gallery.
Brilliant Champions Gallery has been presenting drawings, paintings, sculptures and mixed media works. The Echo's Decay by Jake Scharbach is their current exhibition at BCG featuring his latest oil paintings, and the show is up extended until November 19th.
The content of his oil painting has a smooth texture, clear and strong brush strokes and controls, and shifting of colors. Contents is quite interesting as well as especially today many people are interested in politics, economy, and social subjects that he depicts ever before, and that his works in this exhibition bring two still images of moments in different time periods in one painting. It shows consciousness of the artist about he subjects and how those two images are composed, but still much freedom of understanding and for discussion.
Must check it out if you are coming to Morgan stop of Bushwick Brooklyn.
