"Captured and Framed People" At The Metropolitan Museum of Art

On Thursday, August 13, I went to Metropolitan Museum of Art to check out the four Van Gogh flower Paintings. Here is few of quick shot from Installation Art Video right out side of the exhibition room.

On to the exhibition, Metlopoitan Museum of Art is now showcasing four oil paintings painted in 1890 by Van Gogh. Two paintings featuring Irises and the other two, roses.

Why this four paintings? As you may know, the paintings are gathered for the first time in one location rather creating only from own head. In this aspect of composition and also the

By looking at paintings next to each other, I see more of his interest in natural composition than the texture on canvas. Still I see the control on the composition of those paintings, meaning probably he was interested in making "asymmetry well balanced composition" based on the shape that nature creates.
The Exhibition prohibit photograph so respecting that rule, I have only one photo form the outside of the exhibition space. The exhibition is on view until this Sunday. Please do take this chance and visit and see the work next to each other there in person because we do not know when will these four of Van Gogh paintings are going to meet each other again. There will be many people so I recommend to get there in the morning.
